- Thanks for visiting. I'm Monica Passin, aka Li’l Mo of Li’l Mo & the Monicats, a 20 year veteran of the New York country music scene. I co-founded the Twanglers, who recorded for Diesel Only Records, and was a staple of the infamous Monday night Alphabet City Opry at 9C in the East Village. I am currently recording my third album of original material, expanding the range from country and rockabilly to R&B, blues, and 60s-style pop. My band, the Monicats, and I have been featured in Billboard, No Depression, and ASCAP Performing Songwriter Magazine. Most recently, the Monicats were honored with an illustration in The New Yorker.
